RetroFirst stories: how SPPARC aims to save a Gold Medal-winning hospital
It is a privilege to be working on the historically significant restoration of the far too long neglected Grade II* listed former Royal Masonic Hospital at Ravenscourt Park. SPPARC are repurposing this RIBA Gold Medal winning building to create 24,155m² of cultural, care home, and residential uses set within landscaped gardens plus the addition of two sensitively crafted modern buildings.
The restoration with TT Group will retain and restore many of the original building’s early 1930s design features, including the distinctive Modern Movement frontages and balconies.
